AI writes the words. Your chart writes the answers.
AstroBoo readings come from two layers: real astrological calculation, and AI writing constrained by the result. This page is a quick look at both, plus what we will not do.
How your chart is calculated
When you enter your birth date, time, and place, we calculate your full natal chart using the Placidus house system — the same convention most Western astrologers use. From this, we determine:
- Sun, moon, and rising signs (your "big three")
- Placement and sign of every classical and modern planet
- The 12 house cusps and which planet sits in which house
- Major aspects (conjunction, opposition, trine, square, sextile)
- Lunar nodes (North Node and South Node)
- Current transits for yearly and daily readings
This calculation is deterministic. Two people with the same birth data get the same chart, every time.
How the AI writes the reading
The AI receives your chart as structured data — exact signs, degrees, houses, aspects — and writes the reading constrained by what's there. It is not free to invent placements. If your moon is in Scorpio, the reading will say so; it cannot tell you it's in Pisces because the chart data overrides it.
What the AI does add: tone, framing, and interpretation. It writes like a friend who knows astrology and reads charts every day, which is what most people actually want when they ask for a reading.
Editorial voice
We aim for specific over general. "Your moon in 8th house" beats "your inner self." Affectionate over inspirational. Funny when the chart allows it. Not preachy. Not wellness-coded. We are not your therapist.
What we don't do
AstroBoo is an entertainment and self-reflection service. We do not provide:
- Medical, mental health, or psychological advice
- Financial, investment, or legal advice
- Career consultations or hiring decisions
- Predictions presented as fact
- Anything you should base a life decision on without other input
